Hermosa
Beach, CA - E&S Grounding Solutions
today announced the acquisition of additional
engineering software packages from Safe
Engineering Services & technologies
ltd. in Montreal, Canada, manufacturers
of the most powerful engineering software
package ever developed for electrical engineers
in the power quality field, and one of
the most widely accepted substation safety
software packages in the world. The
new package of software, called MALZ, will
upgrade the existing packages to allow
for Advanced Ground Potential Rise (GPR)
analysis.
“We currently use two engineering
software packages; MultiGround for our
GPR’s, and MultiFields for our Lightning
Transient Studies” said Michael Esparza,
President of E&S Grounding Solutions. “The
new software upgrades the GPR package by
incorporating an advanced module from our
lightning analysis program, and brings
that enhanced technology to every one of
our GPR analyses.”
The new MALZ software module improves
the accuracy of the engineering study most
importantly by calculating the voltage
or potential drop across the grounding
system. Most software packages currently
in use, do not account for changes in voltages
from one point of the electrical system
to the next, resulting in calculation errors. For
example, with this new software package,
E&S can improve the accuracy of the
life-saving Step & Touch Potentials
by 10% to 50%. These Step & Touch calculations
are critical in determining the safety
measures required to protect personnel
in high-voltage environments.
This new software is just another one
of many recent acquisitions E&S has
made over the past year, in meeting the
requirements of its new Continuous Improvement
Program. Mr. Esparza continued by
saying, “E&S intends to be the
industry leader in our market place, staying
several steps ahead of our competition. Our
goal is to have our competitors be the
ones that are desperate to keep up, not
the other way around.”
“We are proud to say, that E&S
is the only firm in our market place with
this level of technology” beamed Esparza. E&S
Grounding Solutions will incorporate this
new upgrade in technology across the board,
without increasing prices to their clients. |
